Elizabeth “Elle” Cleland is an American/British dual citizen currently living in the UK, writing like mad and taking her dog on long walks. A professional not-make-up-her-minder, she grew up wanting to be a doctor, sailor, physicist, singer, ambassador, and mountaineering guide, and eventually realized that through writing she can be all of them. She has worked with Penguin Random House, is a member of the Society of Young Publishers, and is a participant or founder of several online writing groups. She’s spent years editing manuscripts, cover letters, and articles as a freelancer, and she was once paid $100 to write novelty fortune cookie labels for a dog adoption party. She fills her time not working or writing with reviewing books on her website and listening to rather too many podcasts. She donates blood but wouldn’t hesitate to steal the last slice of cake from you while you aren’t looking. She shares book reviews — for both new releases and classics — as well as essays on writing and her own short fiction on her website Walker Literary, named after her tendency to start thinking about stories and wander in random directions.
