Jennifer Lesh Fleck

Jennifer Lesh Fleck

Jennifer Lesh Fleck navigated those strange and isolated pandemic years by studying and learning to write speculative fiction. Her stories appear in MetaStellar, Gamut, If There’s Anyone Left, Heartlines Spec, Cosmic Horror Monthly, and elsewhere, including the 2023 Shirley Jackson Award winner for best anthology. She’s a grateful recipient of a 2025 Superstars Expanding Universe scholarship. Her work is often informed by the challenges of lifelong hidden disability from a rare, inherited, connective-tissue disorder. Jennifer lives with her family near Portland, Oregon, in a 107-year-old home that’s a dead ringer for the Amityville Horror House, though repainted a cheery jade green.
