Rebecca Halsey is the author of the historic romance novel Notes of Temptation. Her short fiction has most recently appeared in The Bookends Review. She holds an MFA degree in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University.​ Her nonfiction writing has been a byproduct of her work in the cybersecurity industry where her analysis has covered cybersecurity trends, eCrime threats, hacktivism, and targeted intrusion adversaries worldwide. She has been part of Flash Fiction Online staff off and on since 2016, most recently taking on the roles of editor-in-chief and publisher.

D.A. Straith (they/them) is a nonbinary transmasculine writer of speculative fiction based in the Greater Toronto Area. Jennifer Lesh Fleck navigated those strange and isolated pandemic years by studying and learning to write speculative fiction. Her stories appear in MetaStellar, Gamut, If There’s Anyone Left, Heartlines Spec, Cosmic Horror Monthly, and elsewhere, including the 2023 Shirley Jackson Award winner for best anthology. She’s a grateful recipient of a 2025 Superstars Expanding Universe scholarship. Her work is often informed by the challenges of lifelong hidden disability from a rare, inherited, connective-tissue disorder. Jennifer lives with her family near Portland, Oregon, in a 107-year-old home that’s a dead ringer for the Amityville Horror House, though repainted a cheery jade green.

Elou Carroll is a graphic designer and freelance photographer who writes. Her work appears or is forthcoming in The Deadlands, Baffling Magazine, FOUND #2, In Somnio: A Collection of Modern Gothic Horror (Tenebrous Press), Spirit Machine (Air and Nothingness Press), Ghostlore (Alternative Stories Podcast), and others. Julia LaFond got her Masters in Geoscience from Penn State University. As an author of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, her work has been featured in venues such as James Gunn’s Ad Astra, Radon Journal, Worlds of Possibility, PodCastle, Small Wonders, and The Deadlands. Her storytelling also extends to professionally facilitating role-playing games. When she’s not reading, writing, or gaming, she enjoys advocating for disability justice.

Madeline White is a farmer and artist living in rural New York with her partner and horses. By day, she squeezes wool art and animal care into the space left over from her corporate grind, and by night, she writes grimdark fiction as a break from her cottagecore reality.
