Thanks, Jake. I’m very very (crazy) excited. My story is titled “Apples on the Moon” and is a story about two teenage girls living in a 60k person moon settlement in the not-too-distant future. Interestingly, it’s the first story I ever wrote. It happened to be a perfect fit for this contest. Enough time had passed that I could give a really critical eye to needed edits. I guess they were just what the editors at Hadley Rille books were looking for, as it made the winner list for the Return to Luna anthology. The idea that my work will be in print in a book with actual pages and everything is a bit much for me. Exciting, but shocking.
