I appreciate the work you’ve done – and the nice surprise you gave when one of my texts was accepted. I’ll continue to read the emails and contributors short-short fictions – and best wishes for the future.

I am relatively new to FFO as well as flash fiction itself.  About a year ago, and much to my surprise, I found I had an affinity for writing flash fiction.  I’ve always enjoyed reading it, way back in the day when it was called short short stories, and was looked upon as the short story’s somewhat weird stepchild.
People like Jake have given the flash fiction story a chance to become more acceptable and more widely read.  Thanks, Jake, you and your volunteers have helped increase the richness of English language fiction.

Thank you all — you’re in good hands. Editorial isn’t changing much, if at all, with Suzanne Vincent in place, and I trust Anna Yeatts and the rest of the team with the publishing.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do next. Looking forwarding to reading more stories on here.

Thanks for persisting in pushing the envelope. I have written flash fiction for 30 years just to amuse myself. I had never thought there was a market because I hadn’t seen it published. Lo and behold, it now has a name and a place! That somehow makes it more real and legit. Thank you!
